Your Guide To Moving Home

Buying A Property

For most people, a mortgage is the biggest financial commitment they will ever make. That’s why it’s so important to make sure you know all of the facts before you begin.

You can help yourself to lower the stress by following a few simple rules:

Get an ‘In Principle’ Letter from your Mortgage Lender first

Securing a mortgage deal before you start looking for a new home is essential. An ‘in principle’ letter is provided by the mortgage lender stating that they are prepared to lend a certain amount subject to approval of the property. This can help speed up the home-buying process, as you know how much you’re likely to be able to borrow. It also makes you a more appealing buyer and will give a seller and their estate agent confidence that you’re serious about the purchase.
