Can I Buy A House Without A Solicitor?

Although it is unusual to buy a house without using a solicitor - the simple answer to this question is - yes you can buy a house without using a solicitor – provided you don’t need a mortgage.

If you are obtaining a mortgage the lender will want to appoint a solicitor in any event – even if you don’t want to - to ensure things are done properly. Although it is possible to buy a house without using a solicitor the strong and simple advice is – don’t buy without using a solicitor!
